Arts Education Program at the Hispanic Society
As part of Dia’s multi-year collaboration with the Hispanic Society, Dia has initiated education programs for local elementary, middle, and high school students. These programs, which are free and open to all New York City schools, connect aspects of New York City core curriculum to the contemporary exhibitions on view.

School Groups
School groups, K-12 are welcome to Dia at the Hispanic Society. Groups must not exceed 20 students. One chaperone for every ten students is required. Teachers and chaperones must accompany students at all times and are responsible for the group. Please read our Education Tour Guideline [below].

Each year Dia at the Hispanic Society partners with public schools in New York City to provide a guided tour of the exhibition followed by a series of in-class workshops with a teaching artist.

Sunday, 1pm-4pm

Dia at the Hispanic Society Located on Audubon Terrace, Broadway between 155th and 156th Streets in New York City. By subway take number 1 train to 157th and Broadway.
School groups (k-12) require two-weeks advance notice of their visit. Groups must not exceed 20 students. One chaperone for every ten students is required. Teachers and chaperones must accompany students at all times and are responsible for their students for the entire visit. Special arrangements can be made when possible for larger groups. Tours last approximately one hour.
Museum admission is free.
Cancellations: if you need to cancel your group reservation please call a week (5 days) in advance. Every effort will be made to re-schedule your tour.
Photography or video, of any kind, is not allowed inside the galleries.
To protect the artwork, we ask that students and chaperones leave all large bags and back packs at school or on the bus. Food, drinks (including water bottles) and cell phone use is not permitted inside the galleries. We ask that guests use pencils inside the galleries when taking notes or sketching, which can be provided upon request. Pens, pastels, paint or any wet media of any kind is not permitted. Please ask your students not to touch the artwork. Remind students of appropriate behavior within a museum setting: speaking in a low voice, not running, and always stay with their groups and chaperones.
Outside lecturers may not give tours at the galleries.
