Folds, Surface, Space: Sculptural Origami Lab
Teens and adults will explore formal concerns of minimalism and advanced paper-folding techniques, such as hyperbolic paraboloids, through this interactive tour and workshop. 1.5 hrs

Naomi Sachs, landscape architect, will discuss artist
Robert Irwin's vision and process in transforming the former Nabisco box-printing factory's site and building into a world-class art museum.

Theater director Crichton Atkinson will examine the intentions and practices of selected Dia:Beacon artists in moving towards new concepts of space, materials, and the role of the artist. 1 hr

"One Thing after Another: A Serial Approach to Art" led by Michelle Alumkal
Inspired by the museum building's history as a converted factory, art historian Michelle Alumkal will lead a walk through the collection and current exhibitions, examining the themes of repeated form, methods of serial production, and the viewer's role in the art experience. 1 hr
